Radio dramas are plays written specifically for an auditory medium, with production including actors, sound effects and music. Radio dramas are considered a literary art form while this paper by Elke Huwiler argues that it is actually an acoustic art form. Elke states that , “ music, noises and voices and also technical features like electro-acoustical manipulation or mixing, can be, and often are, used as tools to signify story elements and therefore should be analysed accordingly. “ This literature talks about how integral music is in film to help convey a story. From these texts it is understood that sound can convey a story through sound alone and that music is used as a psychological tool to create emotional response. This tells me that it is possible to create a filmic experience through sound alone.
